A Bill
To establish: SB1170
- Be it enacted by the Senate and
- House of Representatives of the
- United States of America in
- Congress assembled, that
Section 2
- All school systems must have hearty and nutritious lunches.
- Lunches must include an option from every section of the food platter.
- An alternate choice must be presented to the students.
- Every athlete must have a higher protein and calorie lunch presented to them.
- Dairy items must be kept up to expiration dates.
Section 3
- Every public school must follow the guidelines set in this bill.
- Every student should have an alternative option, so they will eat even if they do not like it.
- Fruits and vegetables must be fresh.
- Fruits and vegetables must have different options every day to give variety to the students.
- Meats should not be heavily preserved.
- Religious students must have food options to follow their beliefs.
- There must be vegetarian and vegan options.
- All students should be fed before the hour of twelve o’clock pm.
- All of these rules apply to breakfast.
Section 4
- The Department of Health will be in charge of enforcing this law.
- Schools must adopt this food program and it must be approved by the Department of Health.
- If any school does not follow this rule or chooses not to, will be fined 8,000 dollars a school year.
Section 5
- All laws or parts of laws in conflict
- Herewith are hereby repealed to the
- Extent of the conflict.
- If any portion of this act is declared
- Unconstitutional, it is the intention
- Of this legislature that the other
- Portions shall remain in full force
- And effect
