Intelligence Questions

A.  What is intelligence? The capacity to acquire and apply knowledge
B.  Which is more important:  emotional intelligence or intellectual intelligence?  Present reasons to support your answer.  Choose one side.
I think that they are both very important but I think it is more important to have emotional intelligence. Your emotions are a huge part of your life and your health and I think it is super important to be able to be knowledgeable of them and how to control them.
C.  Is intelligence learned or inherited?
I think that it is both. I think the way you learn is inherited, which can really help you to be more intelligent, and I think that the rest is learned.
D.  What did you learn about yourself after completing these tests?
I learned that I have a very strong emotional intelligence and a strong intellectual intelligence as well.

Election Reflection

During this election there have been a few things that I have learned. I learned that the media can try as hard as they want to sway someone one way in an election but it won’t always work. I also learned a lot about the candidates.  I learned about Trump and his business. I also learned about Clinton and all her antics. This was probably the toughest decision for any of the American people to make. I learned about the issues that are currently affecting America by listening to the candidates. I learned that immigration is bad and we need to build a wall. I also learned that people don’t mind having a criminal as a president. This election was a rough one on all of us. It has not however, changed my opinion. I still believe in my original beliefs. I am still republican and will stand by them. I learned that in the democratic process, the popular vote doesn’t matter but the electoral vote matters. This makes people upset but since the election I have learned why they have this process and there is a lot that goes on behind it and it makes sense.

Predictions:

  1. Stock market may drop at first
  2. Stock market may start to rise after the drop
  3. Foreign imports will go down
  4. Foreign exports will go up
  5. Current treaties will stay the same
  6. Trade agreements may be broken
  7. Foreign relations will be amended
  8. The economy will go up
  9. Hillary will be in prison
  10. America will be great again

Who am I?

Who am I? I am a 17 year old girl. I am a senior at Langford Area School. I am a girl who loves food, sleep, hugs, and laughing. I love singing obnoxiously and dancing like an idiot. I am an introvert that has a hard time making small talk and feels awkward trying to make conversation. I am a girl that only shows my true self to my closest friends. I am a girl who keeps to myself. I don’t tell people when something is wrong but deal with it myself. I am sensitive and soft and cry when I see something cute or cry when I am overwhelmed with happiness. I am a person that always strives to make people like me or enjoy being around me. I am a girl who works hard to be respectful to others and treat them as I would like to be. I am a person with many imperfections but tries to work on them. I love all my family and friends and the people in my life. I am MB.

Donald Trump Narcissist or Sociopath?

Almost every American has seen Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and their crazy debates. Although I think both of them are Psycho, I’m just going to evaluate Donald Trump for now.

Looking at whether Donald Trump is a Sociopath or a narcissist we have to look at the definition and traits of both. According to google, a sociopath is a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience. People with this disorder are known for not showing shame or remorse for their actions, untruthfulness, are not usually nervous, and ect, according to psycologytoday.com. According to dictionary.com, a narcissist is a person who is overly self-involved, and often vain and selfish. According to outofthefog.com, people with narcissistic disorder have characteristics such as, sense of entitlement, shows arrogance, requires excessive admiration, takes advantages of others to achieve his or her goals, and ect.

Let’s start with the traits that Donald Trump has with a sociopath. One of the traits of a sociopath is breaking the law to fit ones wants or needs. What many of you already know is that Donald Trump has not paid his income tax for the past 3 years now. He does this because he doesn’t want his money going to the government. Another example would be his lack of remorse and empathy. Donald Trump has called a woman pig, flat-chested women hard to be a 10, and he has criticized every race imaginable. Out of all these things he has showed any remorse or empathy for saying these things.

Donald Trump also has many traits of a narcissist. Throughout this whole election process Donald Trump has shown many traits of being narcissistic. He is always arrogant about his money. He is always bragging about all the women he has. He thinks he is entitled to everything and has special privileges, and ect.

I personally think Donald Trump is both sociopath and narcissistic, making him a narcissistic sociopath.

28th Amendment

I believe this amendment should give the states more rights to create their own laws, while following the constitution, and without the federal government interfering. An example of this would be the drinking age. The state should be able to set it without the federal government cutting their funding. This will give more rights to the states.

The 16th Amendment states that the Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Derived- Resulting

Apportionment- distribution

Enumeration- list

The 16th Amendment was made so taxes came out people’s income. The people pay taxes goes towards, health programs, the Pentagon and the military, interest on the debt, unemployment and labor programs, veterans benefits, food and agriculture programs, education programs, government expenses, housing and community programs, energy and environmental programs, international affairs programs, transportation funding, and science funding.

Proposed by Congress July 12, 1909, ratified February 3, 1913

Today the amendment is still used and still has a huge impact on the everyday life. The money paid in from our incomes and used for federal pay.

Current examples would include welfare, which would go towards unemployment and labor, education, interest on debt ect.

The 17th Amendment is the popular election of Senators. Each state has 2 Senators that are elected by the people for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.

Requisite- Necessary

Numerous- Many

The 17th Amendment was pretty much an amendment because they wanted the Senators to represent each state and the qualifications of each state.  It gave each state to have the right person to represent the majority of the state and to give the opinions that the people voted them for.  It is used still today. Senators are still voted and represent every day. It was proposed by Congress may 13, 1912 and ratified April 8, 1913. There aren’t really any issues involving this issue today.

Learning

Working at DQ we get a lot of new employees. I’ve been there about 2 and half years making me one of the longer high school workers from there. Just recently we had a new employee that started and I was the one that had to teach her to close. I began telling her what to do before we actually close. We begin getting our stuff done at 8:00. We begin filling toppings; we fill cups, cones, lids, straws, ect. and cleaning as we go. Directly after closing, I told her that the first thing we do is bring in the donation box and lock the window. After that, you turn all the machines off: the ice cream, coco fudge, caramel and hot fudge, cone dip, and slush. I tell her then that whatever you didn’t get filled you fill. After filling you clean. Whatever you see that is dirty you clean. After cleaning everything I tell her that I take out the garbage and begin sweeping. After sweeping, we take the tills out of the registers and I show her how to separate everything and put it in the safe. When I am finished showing her that, I tell her to get a mop and start mopping after mopping, I tell her to help whoever isn’t finished. When everyone is done the manager locks up and we go home!

Colin Kaepernich

I have a lot of different thoughts about Colin Kaepernich. He says he doesn’t want to respect his country’s flag because he lives in a country that oppresses black people. Personally, I think he is just a cry baby and wants to get attention. If he wants to see a country that oppresses a race he should go a country that actually does oppress people or go back to slavery times and see true oppression. He has it easy compared to pretty much everybody. Plus, if his country is so horrible to him, then he should just leave.

Black oppression to him would be cruel treatment to blacks by police officers. There are more police officers killed by black people, than black people killed by police officers. Maybe they should examine the behavior of the people who are getting killed by theses police officers. They are resisting arrest, breaking the law, and are being harmful towards the police officers. I’m not saying that someone has never been killed for any reason by a police officer, but that is very rare. Not to mention, the amount of white people killed by police officers is twice the amount than black people killed by police officers.

I believe fulling in our rights and amendments. I believe that we should use them and fight to keep them. He has the right to sit down during the national anthem for whatever reason he believes, but the least he could do is make it a legit reason to sit down and not a bs excuse to get attention. People, whites and blacks, are fighting over seas for him to be able to play on a football professionally and make millions of dollars. Blacks people today have just as many rights as any other race in this country and he should open his eyes and see that for himself.

I joined psychology to learn about what it is and how it plays a role in our everyday lives. I hope to learn more about what it is and to learn more about myself as a person and why people are the way they are. I hope to have more understanding and knowledge of phycology and myself.  I want to learn more about groups of people and how they act, react, interact with others. I hope to watch of cool movies and learn about psychology while watching them. I hope there are not any little arguments and that I am able to stay out of them.  I hope that you as a teacher do not bring up something that could possibly create an argument. I hope that you bring real world scenarios into discussion as examples to help us understand better. I hope to enjoy this class as I have in your past classes. I hope to get good grades and do my very best. I am looking forward to learning a lot and becoming a better student and learning more about myself and why others and I do what we do.
